In addition to the FBAR, you may have to file Form 8938 (Statement of Specified Foreign Financial Assets) with your tax return if the aggregate value of your foreign assets while living abroad exceed $300,000 throughout the year ($600,000 if filing jointly), or $200,000 on the last day of the year ($400,000 if filing jointly).
